The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Kaja Shukova and the experts of the MOEPP held a working meeting with the mayor of the municipality of Dojran Ango Angov and with Petra Pop Ristova from Mileucontact, an organization that provides expert support to the municipality.
The purpose of the meeting was to help the municipality of Dojran by giving directions for the urgent preparation of a high-quality Study for the revaluation of the natural values of the Monument of Nature lake Dojran and, consequently, the Management Plan for the protected area. These are the two basic documents that will enable better protection of the lake and will enable the promotion of sustainable management of natural resources.
They also discussed ways to accelerate the implementation of the project “Reconstruction and improvement of the collector system and treatment plant in the municipality of Dojran”, for which the Government has so far allocated funds for the municipality of Dojran in the amount of 135 million denars, which is of vital importance for the protection of waters of the Lake.
