The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Kaja Shukova, had a meeting with the new director of the Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Fatih Turkmenoglu.
At the meeting, the Minister wished a warm welcome to Turkmenoglu in our country, and expressed her satisfaction with the successful cooperation so far and for the expressed support that EBRD gives to the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, in the direction of positive impact on the domestic economy and improving the lives of citizens.
They also discussed the current activities of the Regional Solid Waste Project, which began to be implemented this year, and within the framework of which regional waste management systems will be established and developed in the five planning regions in our country.
The interlocutors also discussed the new opportunities for using sustainable bonds and green bonds, which provide further opportunities for the use of financial resources in order to promote sustainable projects from the aspect of the environment, energy and energy efficiency.
