(01.02.2016).Today, the Minister of Environment and Physical PlanningNurhan Izairi, the Mayor of Radovish Municipality Sashko Nikolov and the Director of the Public Communal Enterprise “Plavaja” –Radovish Dragi Milenkov signed the contract for implementation of the project “Construction of wastewater treatment plant and reconstruction of the sewage network in the Municipality of Radovish”.
The overall value of the Contract concerning the construction of this infrastructure facility is 6.700.000 EUR and the funds have been provided by the EU Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) envisaged under the Operational Programme for Regional Development 2007 – 2013 (part: environment) and co-financed by the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia.
The project will enable treatment of urban waste waters in Radovish and Raklish settlement and this will contribute directly to the protection of the waters of the river Stara Reka (Strumenshnica). At the same time, separation of part of the urban and storm waste water sewage network will be conducted to achieve more efficient operation of the wastewater treatment plant..
The project implementation will start in February 2016 and it is expected to be finished in July 2018, to be followed by the guarantee period of one year.
