Skopje, January 26, 2026 – The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hodza, held a working meeting today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Fatih Ulusoy, during which they discussed opportunities for advancing and strengthening bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on the field of environment.
During the meeting, Minister Hodza expressed his sincere appreciation for the continuous and long-term support that the Republic of Türkiye has provided to the Republic of North Macedonia since its independence, emphasizing the importance of the partnership between the two countries in the implementation of joint initiatives and projects.
The interlocutors also discussed the upcoming Water Forum, which will be held on 5 and 6 May this year in Istanbul, with the participation of environment ministers from the Western Balkan countries, as well as the organization of the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31), the most important global summit on climate change under the auspices of the United Nations, to be held in Antalya, Republic of Türkiye.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Hodza expressed his confidence that bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and Türkiye will continue to develop, contributing to the strengthening of relations between the two countries and the intensification of the exchange of knowledge and experience of mutual interest.
