Increasing participation in LIFE calls for proposals and enhancing the overall quality of submitted applications.

Summary
Republic of North Macedonia, on 3 July 2023 in Bussels, formally signed an agreement to associate with the LIFE Programme, the European Union’s flagship initiative dedicated to supporting environmental and climate action. As a newly associated country, North Macedonia faces challenges stemming from limited experience and institutional capacity in the areas targeted by LIFE Programme, particularly among personnel within the relevant ministries serving as NCP network.
The eHUB4LIFE Project has been established to address these challenges by enhancing the effective participation of national beneficiaries in the LIFE Programme. Its overarching objective is to strengthen the capacity of National Contact Points (NCP) network through coordinated measures that enable them to assist current and prospective applicants in preparing high-quality project proposals.
The sustainability of the project will be ensured through the development of a digital support platform, the LIFEMKeHUB. This platform will offer professional guidance, resources, and tools to facilitate access to LIFE Programme funding. By enhancing both the quantity and quality of submitted applications, the initiative aims to significantly strengthen national contribution to the European environmental and climate objectives.
