Skopje, 27.01.2026 The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, today held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of North Macedonia, Rafael Soriano Ortiz.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of the environment, highlighting the continuous support from the Spanish Government for activities aimed at protecting natural values and advancing environmental policies.
Minister Hoxha also emphasized the continuous support from the Kingdom of Spain for the European integration of the Republic of North Macedonia, pointing out that this represents a significant incentive for advancing reform processes and harmonization with European standards, especially in the field of environment.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of the Spanish experience and good practices in the creation and implementation of environmental policies, which represent a useful basis for further improving national policies and strengthening institutional capacities.
The interlocutors confirmed the joint commitment to continue cooperation and intensify the exchange of experiences, with the aim of implementing sustainable solutions and fulfilling the country’s international obligations in the field of environment.
