Skopje, 28.01.2026 The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Muamet Hoxha and the Director of the ZIP Institute, Agim Selami, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at advancing the energy transition and strengthening regional cooperation in the field of energy and environment, as well as providing patronage of the Energy Forum “MEF 2026”.
The aim of the cooperation is to promote a just energy transition, encourage the use of renewable energy sources, and strengthen the role of the Republic of North Macedonia as a regional factor in these processes.
The forum is planned to be held in Skopje, on June 16 and 17, 2026. Special focus will be placed on the involvement of high-level representatives from institutions, experts, and stakeholders from the Western Balkan countries and the European Union.
By signing the Memorandum, both parties confirm their commitment to a partnership approach, coordination and exchange of knowledge, with the aim of successful implementation of the Forum and promotion of energy and environmental policies in the region.
