Radovis, 24 April 2026 The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, addressed the event “High Nature Value Farming and its Importance for Biodiversity and EU Accession,” organized with the support of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the Municipality of Radovis.
In his address, Hoxha emphasized that this concept is an important instrument for establishing a balance between humans and nature and for the conservation of biodiversity. He pointed out that the state is actively working on harmonization with European standards in the field of nature protection – through the implementation of legislation, the establishment of the Natura 2000 network and harmonization with The Birds and Habitats Directives.
In addition to these activities, which represent an important part of progress in the process of accession to the European Union, Hoxha emphasized that only through partnership between institutions, the scientific community, the civil sector, and farmers can a system be built that functions in the long term.
