Skopje, 08.05.2026 – The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, today participated in the environmental campaign “Generalka Weekend,” which traditionally brings together citizens, institutions, and the private sector in a joint effort to clean public areas and raise awareness about environmental protection.
In his statement, Minister Hoxha emphasized that the continuity of this initiative demonstrates that when there is a shared commitment, the results are visible and tangible.
“The Ministry of Environment will always support initiatives like this, because together we are building the awareness that caring for the environment should become an everyday habit for everyone,” emphasized Minister Muamet Hoxha.
He emphasized that in parallel with such actions, the Ministry is focused on systemic solutions, primarily through the establishment of a regional system for modern waste management, the implementation of which is currently underway.
“As a minister, my responsibility is to build a system that effectively addresses waste management. At the same time, however, our shared goal is to build a culture and a future in which actions like these may no longer be necessary,” he emphasized.
The Ministry of Environment remains committed to supporting initiatives that contribute to a cleaner environment, as well as to developing long-term solutions for sustainable waste management.
