In response to a parliamentary question regarding the resolution of the issue with the Rusino dumpsite, the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, informed today in Parliament that concrete steps have been taken to establish the first three regional waste management centers in the country, one of which is located precisely in that region.
“Documentation is currently being prepared for the announcement of a call for the selection of a company that will construct the Rusino Regional Centre. At the same time, the project envisages the procurement of equipment for all public utility enterprises in nine municipalities in the Polog region, which will be covered by this centre,” stated Hoxha.
“With modern centers, infrastructure, and equipment, we are putting an end to the decades-long hardship of over 250,000 residents of the Polog region,” said Minister Hoxha.
