Tetovo, 28 April 2026 The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, today visited the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo, where, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, a project is being prepared to replace heating systems with environmentally friendly alternatives in seven facilities.
During the meeting with the hospital director, Erzen Elezi, it was emphasized that this activity is being carried out in parallel with the broader reconstruction of the clinic and constitutes part of the national efforts to reduce air pollution and to improve air quality.
The project is supported through the IPA III Clean Air Programme, with the project documentation already prepared and implementation expected in the period 2026-2027.
With these investments, the state is taking concrete steps to lead by example, starting with public institutions, with a clear objective – the gradual replacement of non-environmentally friendly heating systems in all public facilities across the country.
Given the size of the Tetovo clinic, this project is expected to have a significant impact on reducing urban air pollution.
