On the occasion of 21 March – International Day of Forests, the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, informs the public that the public debate on the new Law on Nature Protection will begin in the coming month. This legal regulation significantly enhances the protection of natural ecosystems, with particular emphasis on the preservation of forest areas.
Forests represent one of the most significant pillars of our natural heritage, which, in addition to being home to rich biodiversity, provide clean air and water and play a key role in mitigating the effects of climate change. The integral protection and strategic management of these resources are essential for maintaining natural balance and ensuring the country’s environmental stability.
The Ministry issues an open call to the competent institutions, the expert community, and the civil sector for active participation in the upcoming consultative process. Nature protection is a shared social responsibility and a direct investment in the future; therefore, broad contributions are necessary in the creation of a high-quality and comprehensive legal solution that will address contemporary environmental challenges.
