The Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and UNDP have established a new cooperation agreement.
This new partnership aims for concrete results: to stop deforestation, to restore degraded soils, to protect biodiversity, and to increase resilience to climate change.
All of this will be financially supported through the eighth phase of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) projects, with a total budget of $6.74 million: $1 million for climate change, $3 million for biodiversity, and $2.74 million for land degradation.
UNDP remains a trusted and strategic partner, always present wherever addressing environmental challenges requires concrete action. With this agreement, we are moving from promises to measurable work, from plans to results.
Because the time to act is not tomorrow. It is today. And in facing environmental crises that know no borders, our national efforts are part of a shared responsibility.
We have chosen to be part of the solution!
