(13.11.2015).Today, the Minister of Environment and Physical PlanningNurhan Izairi and the Minister of Local Self-Government Ljirim Shabani visited the Municipality of Kumanovo in order to define activities, in line with their competences, to address the current problems faced by the citizens of Kumanovo. The two ministers visited the location in the settlement of Dardanija known under the popular name “Kaj bavchi” where the river of Lipkovska runs through the city and by its spill over the riverbed often poses severe threat to the residents of this settlement and also causes problems on the highway.
After the inspection made on the spot, Ministers, Mayor and, members of the Council of the Municipality and MPs had meeting in the premises of the Municipality and took conclusions on the future joint activities towards quick settlement of the problem through rehabilitation of the riverbed of Lipkovska Reka. To this end, commission was formed and it will coordinate the activities in the coming days.
At the meeting, the need for and the benefits from the establishment of free economic zones in this region were discussed as well. Also, the issue of provision of adequate premises for the educational process performance for the students of all ages in the Municipality was raised.
