Skopje, 11 March 2026 The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, held a meeting with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, led by Elena Gordeeva, Director and Head of the Infrastructure Sector for Europe, based in London, and Fatih Türkmenoğlu, Head of the EBRD for North Macedonia.
At the meeting, discussions were held on the ongoing cooperation between the Ministry and the EBRD, as well as opportunities for its further enhancement. The EBRD representatives expressed readiness to continue and expand the cooperation, with a focus on infrastructure modernization, the green transition, and improving environmental quality.
Minister Hoxha emphasized the importance of the partnership with the EBRD in the implementation of key environmental projects in North Macedonia, emphasizing that support from international financial institutions is of crucial importance for accelerating reforms and introducing modern solutions to environmental challenges.
