Skopje, 2 March 2026 – The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, today met with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of North Macedonia, Jaroslav Ludva. The meeting confirmed the excellent bilateral cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries, with an emphasis on opportunities for their further deepening.
Minister Hoxha expressed gratitude for the continuous support that the Czech Republic provides to North Macedonia in the process of accession to the European Union, highlighting also the active role of the Czech Embassy in Skopje in advancing cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
In that context, the meeting also reviewed the conclusions from the latest session of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation, held in March 2025 in Prague, as well as the established contacts between the relevant ministries. Discussions covered air quality, industrial pollution control, and modern practices in waste management, including experiences from the visit to the waste management center of the City of Prague.
