(25.11.2015).Today, the Minister of Environment and Physical PlanningNurhan Izairi and the Mayor of Debar Municipality Ruzhdi Lata attended the start of the project “Finalization of the storm wastewater sewerage network in the city of Debar, streets 8 Septemvri and Bratstvo Edinstvo branch” in the Municipality of Debar.
The total value of the project is 7.104.000 denars and the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning provided financial resources of 2.600.000 denars or 37% of the projects value under the Environmental Investment Programme.
The funds of the Ministry will be used for procurement of plastic pipes for the sewerage network, metal covers for shafts and metal gutters, while Debar Municipality will invest in earth and concrete works for project engineering.
The City of Debar has 15.000 inhabitants coping with unsolved problems related to waste waters. In most of the city, fecal wastewater mixes with the storm one and this causes frequent defects leading to material damages and potential infective diseases.
